On The Line

Opening during London Craft Week 2017 at the Aram Gallery, this showcase raised awareness on the lives of women artisans in southeast Asia through an exhibition of objects, materials, photography and film collected during three craft research residencies in Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam. In each location students from the Royal College of Art and local researchers working in craft and social entrepreneurship were brought together to explore the handicraft industry in Southeast Asia.
