Sri Lanka, seaside I [drawings]

A new series of drawings/sketches to include in a larger journaling project that combines texts and photographs as well.

The seaside of the Sri Lankan South coast was most appealing to me with its tall trees, and cozy (steep) alleyways that opened up to vast ocean sceneries and sounds. A landscape that inspires me to experiment with slightly new watercolor combinations through the development of a new palette in the weeks/months to follow... Everything seems to take quite a long time for me to find satisfaction in my work but this new series somehow gives me a sense of renewed energy.

A single moment can be captured through a thousand variations.

Each with its own hue.

Something basic like this, which is both a very simple and complex exercise, shows that possibilities are endless.
