Language of the infinite

ສະເໜ່​ຫາ​ [saneha]

With one word starts an 

endless universe. 

Layered with emotions, meanings, connections. 

One word to trace back the ancient worlds of wisdom. 

Reaching to the end of time, and returning to start anew.

Historically, the word Saneha (Prakrit) embodies a rich lexicon of emotions including: devotion, affection, love, passion, friendship, cohesion. Those meanings are embedded in the Buddhist concept of loving-kindness that is at the heart of Lao culture and way of life.

This is a conceptual design concept developed in collaboration with my friend Vanida Phimphachanh who is a jewellery designer with a retail space in Vientiane, a story inspired by the timeless landscape of the Mekong, its invincible sunlight, strong as gold. We take ancient wisdom and culture as pathways for contemporary creations.
